A stepped floor slab condition occurs over composite metal deck and steel framing. A fourteen-gauge Z-closure retains the concrete pour at the vertical face of the step. Continuous number four reinforcing bars are placed at the top and bottom of the step, supplemented by number four bars spaced at twelve inches on center. The structural fill beam and metal deck sizes are determined per the framing plan and structural schedule.
