An HSS column per plan bears directly onto the top flange of a wide flange beam sized per plan. The connection features a partial joint penetration weld on each side, supplemented by a three-eighths-inch fillet weld on each side. An angle bracing member per plan attaches to the web of the wide flange beam using a full-height stiffener plate.
