This connection features four hollow structural section braces converging at a central gusset plate, which is centered on a horizontal hollow structural section beam. Each brace is secured to the 5/8-inch thick gusset plate using six 3/4-inch diameter A325N bolts. The upper braces are attached with 3/16-inch fillet welds, while the lower braces are attached with 1/4-inch fillet welds. The bolt pattern utilizes a typical 3-inch spacing with 2-inch edge distances. All members are oriented toward a single central work point.
