A steel column connects to a supporting steel beam through a three-quarter-inch steel base plate secured with four seven-eighth-inch diameter A325 bolts. The supporting steel beam features web stiffeners on each side, sized per structural notes. The connection occurs at a concrete over metal floor deck assembly.
