The edge of a concrete slab frames into a drop perimeter beam. The top slab reinforcement extends to the edge and terminates with a standard hook into the beam. The bottom slab reinforcement continues across the beam support per structural plans. Perimeter beam ties are spaced according to structural schedules to provide shear reinforcement. A one-inch chamfer is detailed at the bottom exterior corner of the concrete beam.
