Cold-formed steel joists bear on a continuous rim track that matches the size and gauge of the floor joist. A continuous top track acts as a top plate for the cold-formed steel wall stud below, matching the size and gauge of the wall stud. An L50 clip is installed at each joist connecting the joist web to the rim track. Panel edge fastening per plan secures the sheathing to the framing members at the floor line. Number ten sheet metal screws fasten each flange at each end of the connection.
