Buckling-restrained braces connect to a base gusset plate supported by a concrete foundation and slab on grade. One-half inch thick stiffener plates are welded to the near side and far side of the gusset with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A concrete block-out surrounds the base plate assembly at the slab transition. Anchor bolt and base plate information is referenced to the structural elevations.
