A structural steel brace connects to a steel column below with a half-inch plate sized to the beam depth plus a half-inch. Two seven-eighths-inch A325N through bolts in standard holes secure the connection, with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld indicated at the joint. A steel beam connects to the column per detail specifications, maintaining a typical half-inch clearance. The steel brace is slotted per detail requirements with specific edge and spacing dimensions.
