A concrete pipe trench is cast monolithically into a slab on grade with variable thickness 't' sized per the structural plans. Slab reinforcing bars continue into the trench drop, featuring a one-to-one slope and standard hooks at the trench boundary. Reinforcement matching the main slab continues across the bottom of the trench invert. A typical Class A lap splice of one foot zero inches is provided at the slab reinforcing development.
