A beam-to-column connection aligns with a grid line. A 7/8-inch by 2-foot knife plate connects the framing, secured with a 3/4-inch by 1-foot-2-inch wide plate utilizing two 3/4-inch diameter erection bolts. Three 3/8-inch stiffener plates spaced at 4-inch gauge are centered on the assembly with 7/16-inch and 3/8-inch welds. A 3/4-inch by 6-inch stabilizer plate is included but left unwelded to the girder. A 1/4-inch fillet weld secures the column web, while a 5/16-inch weld anchors the lower connection.
