An interior hollow structural section column bears on a five-eighths-by-fourteen-inch-by-one-foot-two-inch embed plate welded around all four sides with a quarter-inch fillet weld. The embed plate is anchored into the concrete slab using four half-inch-diameter by six-inch welded head studs. Additional reinforcement consists of two number four bars at forty-eight inches each way, with four total bars configured per plan. The concrete slab and reinforcement are detailed per plan with typical dimensions such as a two-inch spacing UNO.
