A C12 channel stringer connects to an intermediate landing framing assembly supported by a hollow structural section 6x4 column. A three-eighths-inch plate is welded on the far side, supplemented by five-sixteenth-inch partial penetration welds at the top and bottom flanges. Additional support is provided by angles measuring one and one-half by one and one-half inches, placed on each side of the hollow structural section. The intermediate landing consists of metal deck with lightweight concrete fill, maintaining a four-inch overall depth.
