A metal deck with a concrete topping slab bears perpendicularly across the top of a reinforced concrete masonry unit wall. Pairs of five-eighths inch diameter Hilti KB-TZ2 expansion anchors with four-inch embedment secure the assembly into the low flute of the metal deck. L6x4x3/8 angles with long legs horizontal and a length of one foot six inches are positioned on each side at four feet on center and two feet from the end of the wall. The masonry wall includes two continuous number five reinforcing bars per plan.
