A vertical wall stud is topped with a 16 gauge top track matching the stud width, secured beneath a concrete-filled metal deck. A 10 gauge plate spanning two low deck flutes is fastened to the top track using two number 10 sheet metal screws at 8 inches on center. Five-eighths inch diameter expansion or screw anchors at 32 inches on center with 3 and a half inch embedment are installed in the low flute per the structural plans.
