This pavement assembly consists of a four-inch asphalt wearing course placed directly over a six-inch aggregate base course. The base course rests upon properly prepared fills, natural subgrade soils, and structural site grading fill. All underlying subgrade materials must be adequately compacted and prepared prior to aggregate base placement.
