A structural steel column bears on a steel base plate set over one and a half inches of non-shrink grout atop a reinforced concrete pier and footing. The concrete pier rests on a reinforced concrete footing, while an adjacent concrete slab on grade ties into the assembly. Anchor rods secure the column base to the foundation elements below.
