A lightweight concrete topping with an average thickness of three inches is placed over a waterproof membrane and structural concrete slab sized per plan. Welded wire fabric of size 6x6-W3.5xW3.5 is embedded near the top of the topping layer. A joint is formed with a tooled edge and sealed with joint sealant.
