A three-quarter-inch diameter threaded rod hangs from a wide-flange beam above, supported by a half-inch plate welded to the bottom flange with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds ground smooth. A full-depth stiffener plate is welded inside the wide-flange beam web at the hanger rod location. A number three clevis with a one-inch diameter pin secures the top and bottom of the rod assembly. The lower end of the rod attaches with another clevis and pin to a three-quarter-inch plate connected to the structural element below.
