An engineered structural fill supports a concrete footing and a concrete slab on grade in accordance with the project soils report. The concrete footing dimensions, reinforcement, and schedule are sized per plan. A concrete slab on grade bears directly over the compacted structural fill and adjacent soil layers. Depth and compaction requirements for the fill are governed by geotechnical specifications.
