A wide flange beam connects to the flange of a wide flange column using a bolted shear tab with one-inch diameter bolts spaced at one and three-quarter inches typically. A half-inch thick cap plate is provided at the top of the column where required. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths inch size secure the connection elements. Intersecting beam connections are referenced to sheet S7.1.
