Cold-formed steel joists are supported by a top track top plate matching the size and gauge of the wall stud below. A continuous rim track matches the size and gauge of the cold-formed steel joist and is secured with an L50 clip at each joist. Track blocking matches the size and gauge of the cold-formed steel joist with an L50 clip at each end, coped flange to extend web as required, and three number 10 sheet metal screws to each block at 48 inches on center. Number 10 sheet metal screws are installed at each flange at each end. Sheathing is secured with panel edge fastening per plan to the rim joist.
