Full-depth joist blocking is installed between typical ceiling joists at a maximum spacing of eight feet on center. Option B utilizes cut flanges and folded webs at each end of the blocking, fastened to the joists with two number ten sheet metal screws top and bottom. Option A utilizes steel angles at each end of the blocking, fastened to the blocking and joist with two number ten sheet metal screws.
