A structural steel buckling restrained braced frame column connects to a thick base plate secured by multiple anchor bolts embedded into a concrete foundation. A column blockout is provided around the base with a designated grout hole for leveling and grouting beneath the base plate. Nine number nine Grade 80 U-bars run each way near the top of the foundation for reinforcement. Column welds to the base plate are specified as demand critical welds.
