A new concrete slab on grade abuts an existing concrete tilt-up panel, forming a cold joint against the vertical wall surface. The existing tilt-up panel bears on or connects to an existing concrete footing set within compacted subgrade. The slab reinforcement terminates near the cold joint interface at the existing wall.
