A continuous L3x3x3/8 angle is welded to the web of a steel beam with five-sixteenths fillet welds spaced at 4-12. A metal deck bears on the angle and connects to the structural framing per reference detail 9/S6.02. The deck may span in either direction and can include concrete fill while maintaining a variable vertical dimension from the top flange to the support location.
