A steel column supports a steel girder with a three-inch bearing end secured by two three-quarter-inch diameter A325 erection bolts. Steel joists bear on the assembly with two half-inch diameter A325 erection bolts at each joist bearing end. Three-quarter-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch stabilizer plates are provided typically at the girders, while three-eighths-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch stabilizer plates with thirteen-sixteenths-inch diameter holes are used typically at the joists. Steel deck spans across the top of the framing. Bottom chords are left unwelded to the stabilizer plates.
