Structural steel connection assemblies feature hollow structural section members framing into steel truss girders and wide-flange beams. Side plates measuring 3/8 inch by 4 inches by 0 feet 10 inches are welded to each side of the hollow structural section with specified fillet welds. Wood blocking and sub-purlins are tied into the assembly using Simpson Strong-Tie LTP4 connectors on each side of the blocking and a 3x4 wood nailer secured with 5/8-inch diameter countersunk welded studs spaced at 16 inches on center.
