A three-quarter-inch CDX plywood roof sheathing supports the assembly, carrying a level platform made of three-quarter-inch CDX plywood fastened with ten-penny screw shank nails spaced at four inches on center at edges. The platform framing consists of two-by-six number one wood framing members supported by Simpson joist hangers. A cant strip sits adjacent to the curb at the roof level. An equipment curb provided by others supports a new proposed AC unit above, secured with three three-eighth-inch diameter by five-inch lag screws on each side of the curb.
