Steel beam connections accommodate depth differences at supporting members using a shear tab configuration. The connection utilizes a WT5x22.5 or WT7x26.5 section cut to fit, or a full-height shear tab sized per schedule, welded with quarter-inch fillet welds on two or three sides as indicated. The detailing specifies unslotted bolt holes and maintains AISC manual dimensional clearances for top of steel alignments. Two distinct conditions are presented based on whether the depth difference exceeds or is less than three inches.
