A reinforced concrete edge beam supports the adjacent floor slab with top and bottom beam reinforcing bars sized per the concrete beam schedule. Closed-type stirrups provide shear reinforcement throughout the beam depth and width per schedule spacing. Added horizontal bars are placed on each face as indicated in the typical concrete beam section. The slab top bars extend into and anchor within the edge beam assembly.
