A wide-flange steel column is welded to a rectangular base plate using minimum welds per AISC typical at the flanges. Four anchor bolts are positioned at the corners with a 1 1/2-inch edge distance, while base plate dimensions "B", "N", and thickness "T" are sized per the column schedule. A 2-inch diameter grout hole is provided through the plate adjacent to the column web.
