A hollow structural section column bears on a steel base plate set over one and a half inches of flowable non-shrink grout. Two one and one-sixteenth inch diameter holes accommodate three-quarter inch diameter by one foot six inch long F1554 Grade 36 anchor rods with double nuts and six inches of projection, complete with F844 washers above and below the base plate. Plate dimensions and welding are specified per sheet A/S5.21.
