Steel beams frame into a column web with an unmoment connection detail where beam flanges remain uncoped. One-half-inch ASTM A36 plates attach to the assembly with typical five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Bolts, additional plates, and welds are sized per table C1. Clear spacing is maintained between the web and the toe of the column.
