A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a wide-flange steel column using a gusset plate and bolted lug attachment. Wide-flange beams frame into the column flanges with web shear tabs and stiffener plates provided near the connection as required. Concrete over metal deck bears against the column and frames the floor level at the connection zone. Stiffener plates are installed on the near side and far side of the column web to transfer brace loads.
