A structural steel beam connects to a wide-flange column flange using a welded single-plate shear tab. The shear tab plate is welded to the column flange with a fillet weld sized per schedule 6 on sheet S1.04 plus one-sixteenth inch. The beam web bolts to the shear tab with a designated number and size of bolts in the first row and additional matching bolts in the second row according to project notes.
