A wide-flange beam connects to a concrete tilt-up panel using a steel embed plate cast into the wall. The beam is secured to the embed plate with a bolted connection sized per the typical schedule. A continuous L4x3x1/4 angle is anchored to the panel face with 1/2-inch diameter by 12-inch long headed deformed bar anchors spaced at 24 inches on center. The concrete slab over metal deck terminates at this angle, with slab thickness and deck gauge determined by project notes. Beam connections near panel edges are referenced to sheet 4/S220, while the panel size and reinforcing are specified on the elevation drawings.
