Suspended mechanical equipment is supported by a structural framing assembly hung from a metal roof deck. Two angles measuring L5x3x1/4 with long legs vertical are provided, with Unistrut utilized for units weighing less than 300 pounds. Two angles measuring L6x4x5/16 by zero foot ten inches long with long legs vertical are placed typically, welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Five-and-a-half-inch by three-inch spacer plates one-sixteenth-inch thicker than hanging rods are installed at third points typically. Hanging rods are provided per the mechanical contractor and secured with quarter-inch fillet welds.
