A hollow structural section steel beam connects to a concrete tilt-up panel using a one-quarter-inch end plate welded to the beam with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld featuring one-inch returns. The end plate is anchored into the concrete wall panel with embedded studs. Three-by-three-by-one-quarter-inch steel angles measuring zero feet nine inches long are placed above and below the beam typically. Section A-A provides orthogonal dimensional clearance and placement details for the girt connection.
