A wide-flange steel column is welded to a base plate with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld on both the web and flanges. Anchor bolts are positioned at the corners with gage dimensions referenced as 'N' and 'B' per note four. The base plate size and thickness are determined by the structural schedule.
