An HSS12x4x1/2 stub beam connects to a structural column per schedule using 5/16 fillet welds on the top and bottom and 1/4 fillet welds on each side. The stub extends to support an HSS12x8x1/2 member containing two 3/4-inch diameter welded studs with nuts. A 3/4-inch thick by 6-inch wide plate with two LSL holes connects typically at the assembly. The adjacent wall construction is coordinated per architectural drawing A-251.
