A wide flange beam frames into a wide flange girder using a full depth shear plate. The shear plate thickness is based on the depth of the wide flange girder per details on sheet S6.1, fastened with seven-eighths inch diameter high strength bolts with standard vertical slotted holes. At moment frames or braced frame beams, a full depth shear and stiffener plate is provided on both sides. A half-inch thick plate is welded to the underside with a quarter-inch fillet weld.
