A buckling-restrained brace connects to a weak-axis steel column and concrete over steel deck floor system. The gusset plate and attachment are designed by the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer. Typical stiffener plates are provided near side and far side as required by the manufacturer on the steel beam and steel column. A work point is established at the intersection of the framing members for alignment.
