A structural steel beam frames into a column flange using a welded-to-column and bolted-to-beam single plate shear connection. A tab plate per detail 2/S5.01 welds to the column flange and connects to the beam web with a vertical row of five bolts. The top of the column is indicated where it occurs above the framing elevation.
