Concrete slab steps feature a stable slope transition with continuous number four rebar at the edge. Slab reinforcement laps one foot and welded wire mesh laps two squares across the step interface. Depending on the step depth dimension D, bottom reinforcement bends with a twelve-inch hook as specified for depths between six and fifteen inches. Additional reinforcement follows the structural plan across varying depth ranges.
