A wide flange beam splice connection is located at one-quarter span unless otherwise noted. The connection incorporates a plate thickness equal to the beam web thickness plus one-quarter inch. A one-half inch gap is maintained between the connected beam ends. Bolts are specified by number and size per the non-moment beam connection schedule. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch size are applied on three sides as indicated.
