A horizontal steel girt bears onto a hollow structural section support jamb via a 3/8-inch bent plate with a vertical slotted hole on each side. A seven-eighths-inch diameter through bolt with double nuts secures the girt to the bent plate connection. A wind girt hanger extends from the top flange of the girt where required. Insulated metal panels are installed on the exterior face by others, maintaining a minimum one-and-one-half-inch gap.
