A hollow structural section post is welded to a 1/2-inch by 5-1/2-inch by 24-inch steel plate with a 3/16-inch fillet weld. The assembly is secured using two 1/2-inch diameter by 3-1/2-inch KH-EZ anchors spaced at 2 inches typical. The mounting plate aligns with the elevator opening and supports the elevator guide rail according to manufacturer specifications.
