A structural intersection of a concrete tie beam and a pad footing with specified reinforcing steel. Four number six longitudinal bars are placed at the top and bottom within number three ties. Bars terminate three inches clear of the pad end where a tie beam occurs on one side only. A five foot typical lap splice is provided for the reinforcement, with lap bars matching the tie beams. The continuous pad footing size and reinforcement are determined per the footing schedule.
