A hollow structural section beam connects to a column flange using a quarter-inch fillet weld applied on three sides. A quarter-inch by three-inch plate matches the hollow structural section beam depth at the connection. Horizontal hollow structural section members require half-inch diameter weep holes spaced at forty-eight inches on center along the bottom face. Exterior stud framing consists of 600S162-54 studs spaced at sixteen inches on center unless noted otherwise.
