A stepped concrete-filled metal deck bears on a structural WT fill beam, sized per plan. A fourteen-gauge Z-closure retains the edge of the slab step, with a six-inch horizontal offset dimension. Continuous number four reinforcing bars are placed at the top and bottom of the step, supplemented by number four bars spaced at twelve inches on center.
